Christmas in July?

I know it's late, Christmas was 6 months ago! But here is the video (click here if you can't see it below). Like all Christmases it was a very exciting and exhausting day, but lots of fun, and lot's of mess after!

A Quick Stop in Melbourne for PAX

Back in October Dad and I went for a trip to Melbourne to attend PAX. In case you don't know, PAX is a very big gaming convention from the United States. It comes to Melbourne once a year and this time we were going! It goes for 3 days but we only visited for 1 day to see what it is like. It has lots of game displays where you can see new games that aren't out yet and even play some of them. There were also lots of panels throughout the day in different arenas that hosted various shows, interviews and competitions.

One of the most exciting things for me was meeting the Youtube stars from Click, which is a group of gamers that stream games and do Youtube videos as their job. We had to stand in a line for almost 2 hours to meet them but it was definitely worth it. I was getting so nervous as the line got closer!

After our day at PAX we stopped to get some dinner. By this point I was very very tired as you can probably tell by this photo. This milkshake was my dinner.



We stayed the night and left for the airport in the morning. It was a nice trip to Melbourne.

Hockey Season is Over

This year was my first time playing a regular season of hockey. I really enjoyed it! It took a while to get the hang of the rules but as we got better with every game and had some really close games near the end. We had some pretty cold mornings some weekends but it was easy to warm up. We made it to the semi finals but lost to the other Sutherland team. Now it's time to focus on baseball!

Happy Birthday to me!

This July (the 6th to be exact) I celebrated my 10th birthday! It was very exciting. I was up very early in the morning but Dad told me to go back to sleep because it was still dark. Eventually I got back up and opened up some presents! I didn't have long because I had to play hockey.
We got back from hockey and I had even more presents to open, I was very lucky. After that it was time for my party. I invited my friends to celebrate with me at Timezone. We had lots of fun playing games and eating. It was a very exhausting day!

Star Wars Identities

Earlier this month Dad and I went a trip to the Powerhouse Museum to see the Star Wars Identities exhibition. This was a cool display of lots of the props and costumes that were actually used in the Star Wars movies. At the beginning of it we were given special wristbands that we used to tap on at different stations through the exhibit to create the identities for our own Star Wars characters. You can see the characters we created down the bottom!

Gold Coast Holiday

Earlier this year we went on a holiday to the Gold Coast. We stayed at Sea World resort and it was good fun. It was right next to Sea World so we could pop over there whenever we wanted. We visited a few of the theme parks, went on some rides and saw some cool shows. On our last day we got to see Grandma and Grandpop before we got our flight home.

Here are some photos of our trip. You can see that the pool area at the resort was really cool, there were plenty of areas to get wet and cool down.

 

On our second day we went into Surfers Paradise. We went to Ripley's Believe it or Not and Timezone where I got to play lots of games. We also did dodgems and laser tag.





The next day was Movie World. It was very hot!







The following day we went to Wet N Wild. This place was pretty busy but it was a good place to cool off.







Back to Surfers Paradise for a nice dinner.



As you can see I'm feeling a bit full from this ice cream sandwich.





The moon was very bright.



We decided to go for a walk to McDonald's in the morning for breakfast. It was a bit of a long walk and it got hot very quickly.



After breakfast we went to Sea World. I like to be in charge of the map so I know where we need to go.



We saw lots of animals including the dolphins.









This was one of my favourite rides (you can see more in the video). You get to go around on a pirate ship and shoot people with the water cannons!
